- I have been an advocate for colon cancer awareness since my stepdad John was diagnosed in 2002. My mom and I were caregivers for him until he passed away in 2004. I was the coordinator of Voices of NYC until I moved to London in January 2008. Starting this fall, I will be pursuing my MBA at the University of Cambridge with an ultimate goal to run an international colon cancer awareness and prevention non-profit. As the CCA proclaims, this disease is beatable - and we need to get the word out there!

Welcome to my very first blog post. Ever.
I have thought about blogging for the past number of years. Gathered med receipts from 2011-whew! Got a lot to tally up for taxes. Between me & hubby-2011 was a big year with med expenses.

What a DAY! My friend had to go to the ER for high bp. I met her there & stayed with her, for about 6 hours. Got home 10 pm. She's ok, whew!
