I found out about having Advanced Rectal Cancer, and the tumor growning in the lowest area of the Sphinter Muscle. I was a Stage 3. 1 lymp node, and a spot on liver could of been Pet scan error what the doctors stated! I had 3 Doctor's opions, No Luck on 2 of the doctors but on my 3rd doctors opion. I had a chance he could of save me from getting the Ostomy. I had 5 weeks, for 5 days a week and I found out that the 1 lymp Node had disapeared due to Radiation and Chemo pills. The tumor did srink, but there was a little part that was still on the sphinter musscle. I had surgury 2 times. I am now in treatment for 4 Months, Chemo and all the good stuff that's in the poison! I WILL FIGHT THIS:) Well 2 treatments down and 5 more to go. I will keep my CRC webpage up to date on this.
About Me:
This website has alot of help N support and very nice people. I am a 44 yrs old. I have served my time in the US Arm Forces and National Guard Reserves, I am a High School Grad, I have some College, I am a A+ Certified Comptia Computer Technician, as well I am a Certified DOT Licence Tractor Trailer, & Bus Operator. I have all my endorsements and TSA clearance hazmat operator.
I found out that I had Rectal Cancer and it had spread to my Sphinter muscle a little bit on my right side of the muscle. But come to find out from Biopsy, the sphinkter was benign. OMG she taken away my main body part. Damn her, the Surgeon. Grrrrr On April 01, 2008, I had that nasty pooper scope, and then on April 02, 2008, my medical report came back! Cancer for sure. I think, I should of have maybe a 2nd scope done just to be sure! But I can't roll the clock back. I kindly had a feeling that I had something, when I started having problems back in February 2008, while remoldeling my wife and I's home. I had this severe sharp pain on my right side tail bone area. I known it was time to get it checked out. My family Doctor said, oh it's just a hemroid, yea right doc lol! On May 19, 2008 to June 27, 2008, I had under went radiation and chemo treatments, for 5 days a week, for 5 weeks. Ouch what a rough road for me in my 4th week. I actually needed ICE back there on the rear bumper LOL!
This has been a very sad times for me, since finding out I was struken by this mad No#2 killler.
What I Love to do N Who I love----> I love my children and my friends on here. I love children and watching them grow to be adults, I love going to the Drive Inn's with my wife, but not now dang, I love to walking the beach bare footed with my "SOULMATE", I love sitting on the beach watching the sun go down, I love sitting by a cozy fire outside with my "SOULMATE" I love cooking, cleaning, doing out door lawn decorations and mowing the lawns, camping, walking the trails, snow mobiling, swimming, jet Skiing, playing pool, bowling, watching all military movies, Horror and some drama and comedy movies. I love sitting near a fire place with my "SOULMATE" I love animals, I love reading the funnies in the newspaper, I love the COPS show, I love reading what's new in the Cancer Health Mag, I love all out door sports, I love Music, I love Dancing, I love country music at it moments, Jazz. I love attending a true believing Church and I love praying with my Brothers in Christ Jesus. I love having my quite time with my higher power. That is GOD himslf.
My last 3 blood test has recently have came back NEG.:) I am going to be a winner! So is the rest of all us:)
Final all great words so far is the blood test. The Chemo I have to be very careful due to weather and being around big crouds. As we know chemo is poinson. Yuk But what can I say, it has to get done. Finally it is so hard on me not being able to get my rear-bumper back into the driving field and show my wife I can make a big differance. That is working and supporting my family and making my wife happy. I blame myself of everything. What else can I say? If I had watched my eating habits and those fast food joints, maybe I would of never caught this horrible diease. We all have cancer cells. Then can go crazy, it's just very odd, I am the only one in both sides of my family who has been strucken by this number 2 diease. It's so odd back in January 2006, I had re-enlisted back into the National Guard and I and my beautiful wife had joined 24 hour fitness and we worked out together. With me loosing weight and working out walking and stuff. How come God couldn't give me the heads up about this diease. But I am very glad that it was caught in the nick of time. I didn't care in the way the surgeon perform my surjury though. The 2nd day after coming out of ICU, the male nurse had me get up to go to my room and make me get into a wheel chair and with no help. I had taken a fall into the wheel chair. I have learned you have to watch out for surgeons, because everything is all money. GOSH. But at least the tumor is gone and I am cancer free and my life has been spared for the 2nd time. I don't know how be though?I just hope my wife turns her heart and understand she has a lover and best friend here for her. Please pray for my marriage and my wife and I and our 3 lovely children...
Well today Decemeber 08, 2008, I had my 3rd bi-weekly Chemo and Pump hook up. 3rd round on my blood test and came back again Negative and my red blood cells count is improving as well with my white blood cells. just 48 hours to deal with this pump and time to take it off. Thank you so much.
next up to date DEC 22nd. Well 4th one down and Blood Test is great:). Wearing my buddy LOL for 48 hours again Yikes:)

Hi there,I havent been on in a few, how are you? Whats going on with the Lawyers, etc? Whatever it is, if God is in charge it'll all be ok. Send a msg when you get a chance xo
Hey joe, same darn thing happened to me - my first doc thought he could save the sphinc, so i did radiation first. it did shrink it but it was actually an impossible situation. also no biopsy actually showed cancer. but all docs said it was cancer anyways. anyhow, hang tough, thinking of you.
Hi Joe, Just tried to get into the Wed nite "chat" couldnt do it? I seem to have been signed in correctly but couldnt commumicate? Did you ever do that? Can you explain? And if you truly love your wife dont give up too quickly. BUT dont be used and taken advantage of either. Continue to stand up for yourself. Sounds like you two do need some help. Been to counseling? Anyway Good Luck again
I will beat the evil over my Marriage. Monday Jan 05, 2009 mediation hearing.. I tried.. But time for 2 Attorneys to step in and as well use all use know my message from the Senator here in California. By my e-mail:) God is standing by me:) I wil fight like u know what....:) It is a shame when your abandon and negelected with Cancer by the one you trully LOVE and being a Father to 3 children whom I love so dearly. What man travels 3000 Miles to meet a lady and her childrena nd family? Then all a sudden this crap/ NO WAY! But I am willing to save our marriage. I love her. She needs help and if there isa asshole guy in the picture time for him to back out. It takes her and who ever is putting crazy shit in her head they need to stop. this isn't my wife. My wife is not her right now and NO I AM NOT A USER OR A ABUSER. I went out of my way to get our home and pay it off. Only if she stood by me. What a shame. But this is her last chance and its her call!
I'm sorry things are so challenging for you right now. Why not give me a call today or tomorrow so we can chat a bit??? 877-422-2030, fondly, Jeannie Moore, Patient Support Manager
Hi Friend, I couldn't let this year end without wishing you a Happy New Year. You are one person who has really done a great job of welcoming others and offering help, but especially hope. May 2009 bring you improved health, peace, and happiness. Julie Kay
Hi Joe, just want to thank you for the welcome. You have a beautiful family, your fortunate. Im so new to this, I dont know what or how to really use it. Any advise would be appreciated. I start chemo AGAIN on Tues. the oxiliplatin, Ive been on it before(twice) and it worked well for me but we dont know if it will work again this time, I guess these drugs only work for so long. Im scared as usual, the cancer keeps coming back with in a few months after stopping chemo. Who knows maybe this time will do it. I have alot of hope. So never give up! Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
Maureen

Just read your story, Joe. I hope that in 2009 all your hopes and dreams come true and that you go into remission forever. Hang in there. You are very strong and will make it happen.
I am NED but still suffer a lot from side effects. Am hoping that that will change in the New Year too.
