YUP, it's back in my Left lobe of liver and (2 spots) and new in the Left lung.
Starting to think work is a bad thing since in both cases, scans upon returning to work are always bad news!! coincidence???hmm....
still here I am new year, new Dr. and hope renewed. Got a 2nd opinion at the end of Oct 2011 and what was recommended for me was to go back on Folfiri w/avastin for 3 cycles and rescan. Which we did but since CEA levels kept doubling, it wasn't working.
Dr Lenz now recommends resume FOLFOX w avastin for 3 rounds and rescan. After 1 round of folfox, w/o avastin b/c authorization was not completed in time but so glad to see that CEA level is down. I've just completed round 2 on folfox PLUS avastin and met a new friend, Jennifer Weir (also a CCA membor and whom's profile I've probably glance at) at USC. She is a joy and shared with me a story of a 13-yr stage 4 survivor.....HOPE lives!!!!
Very grateful to have 4 bad days and 10 great beautiful days to spend with my kids and husband!!

Dr. Lenz is very, very good. Glad you got to meet Jenn -she's wonderful.
Let's hope the chemo kicks it back again. If you're responded to this in the past, chances are good, you'll respond again!
Hope you can make our webinar Wed night - partnering with our friends at C3 with an update from ASCO GI on the new drugs coming down the pike (hopefully soon!!!)
